We have classes on various week nights as well as some Saturday & Sunday afternoons throughout the year which include:
For dogs 6 months and older:
Saturday March 31, 2018 Trick Dog Testing at 3:00 pm
Novice & Intermediate Levels only
If you feel you can pass the test and did not take our class,
Call Melody at: 398-8062 to see if there are any open slots.

AKC recently added a New Title called Trick Dog.  It has four levels and this class will focus on the Intermediate and  Novice levels.

The test requires the dog to perform 10 tricks but a CGC title counts as five (at Novice level). Dogs with a CGC can quickly work on the Intermediate title.
This is an introductory class so no prior experience is necessary but it would be beneficial if the dogs already know basics like sit, down and work on a flat collar and leash.
Please Pre-Register by Emailing: aknewberrys@gmail.com
More information about Trick Dog can be found at http://www.akc.org/about-trick-dog/

Beginning Obedience (for dogs 5 months and over)
Beginning Obedience is to teach your dog good manners and is also a class to teach the basics if you are interested in competing in obedience. S/he will learn general obedience such as heeling with a loose leash, sit, stay, stand, down and coming when called.

New session starting:
March 10th, 2018 at 1:00 pm
Instructor: Patsy Stringer

Intermediate/Advanced Obedience

Rally is a sport in which the dog and handler complete a course that has been designed by the rally judge. The judge tells the handler to begin, and the dog and handler proceed at their own pace through a course of designated stations (10 - 20, depending on the level). Each of these stations has a sign providing instructions regarding the next skill that is to be performed. Scoring is not as rigorous as traditional obedience.
