TRICK DOG CLASS
For dogs 6 months and older:
February 14, 2018 at 5:30 pm
AKC recently added a New Title called Trick Dog. It has four levels and this class will focus on the Intermediate and Novice levels.
The test requires the dog to perform 10 tricks but a CGC title counts as five (at Novice level). Dogs with a CGC can quickly work on the Intermediate title.
This is an introductory class so no prior experience is necessary but it would be beneficial if the dogs already know basics like sit, down and work on a flat collar and leash.
Beginning Obedience (for dogs 5 months and over)
Beginning Obedience is to teach your dog good manners and is also a class to teach the basics if you are interested in competing in obedience. S/he will learn general obedience such as heeling with a loose leash, sit, stay, stand, down and coming when called.
New session starting:
March 10th, 2018 at 1:00 pm
Instructor: Patsy Stringer
PLEASE PRE-REGISTER BY EMAILING:
This is for dogs that have completed a Beginning Obedience class and for those who want to further his/her education or prepare to compete in AKC trials.

Please check back
Primarily a class for those wishing to train their dogs towards obtaining an AKC Novice or CD (Companion Dog) title. There may also be limited training towards Graduate Novice/Open prep for those interested.
New Class Starting: TBA
Rally is a sport in which the dog and handler complete a course that has been designed by the rally judge. The judge tells the handler to begin, and the dog and handler proceed at their own pace through a course of designated stations (10 - 20, depending on the level). Each of these stations has a sign providing instructions regarding the next skill that is to be performed. Scoring is not as rigorous as traditional obedience.
Rally Run Through Class
Next Class: Mondays - January 8th at 5:30 pm
Canine Good Citizen
CGC is a certification program that is designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. The Canine Good Citizen Program is a two-part program that stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. All dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test may receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club.
Dogs do NOT have to be purebred to take the CGC test. More details about the test can be found on our "Canine Good Citizen" link.
Please read our Canine Good Citizen Page for details
Our next CGC test will not be until Spring of 2018
